Superintendent of Schools

Murchison Independent School District is seeking an experienced, visionary, and student-centered leader to serve as Superintendent of Schools.

The Superintendent will provide leadership and direction for all aspects of district operations, including academic achievement, personnel, finance, community engagement, and strategic planning. The successful candidate will be committed to student success, transparent communication, strong community relationships, and the continued growth of Murchison ISD.

• Salary: Commensurate with experience and qualifications

Requirements & Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Texas Superintendent Certificate and Texas administrator certification issued by the State Board of Educator Certification

• Must have a Master’s degree or higher from an accredited institution

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

• Successful leadership experience in educational leadership
• A commitment to academic excellence and student achievement
• Strong knowledge of Texas public school administration, accountability, curriculum and instruction, school finance, personnel, and applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
•  Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a Board of Trustees, employees, parents, students, and community members.
•  Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
•  Commitment to ethical leadership, transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
